Many of the skills that are needed for precursors to learning can be learned through play. We are constantly building highways in our brain. The more we practice, the easier/smoother these pathways become. The more we practice through play, the faster they are built.

Play is also an efficient way to learn Executive Functions, which help kids know how to reason, plan, manage their emotions, and develop patience.
